Plumber in Summerland, BC
Our home base, so the van is never far away.
Fontus Plumbing & Heating is based in Summerland, not driving in from the Central Okanagan for every call. That means a stocked van, familiar streets, and local knowledge of older lake-area homes as well as newer builds around Trout Creek, Lower Town, and Prairie Valley. Homeowners here call us for aging water heaters, toilet and washlet upgrades, reno rough-ins, and the leaks that show up when a system gets worked hard. We keep standard hours Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with emergency call-outs evenings and weekends when available. Fully insured, clean work, and clear pricing: $125/hr labour, or a flat quote once we’ve seen the job. Rural or just outside town? Call or text (250) 274-0132 and we’ll confirm coverage. Same number for water heaters, boilers and hydronic heating, fixtures, and general repairs across the district.
Good to know around town
- Where your water comes from. Most of the District's drinking water comes from the Trout Creek watershed (about 90%), with Eneas Creek supplying the rest, and it's treated at the District's water treatment plant before it reaches your taps.
- Orchard and acreage properties. Summerland has been separating agricultural irrigation lines from domestic water in parts of town since 2009, starting around Prairie Valley Road. On farm and acreage lots, it pays to know which shutoff is the house and which is irrigation before you ever need it in a hurry.
- Older homes near the lake. Lower Town was the original townsite, and some of the oldest houses in the area are down there. Older homes can hide original shutoffs and supply lines that are worth replacing while the walls are open for a reno.
- Around the house in winter. Disconnect garden hoses and shut off outdoor faucets from inside before the first hard frost. A split hose bib is one of the easiest leaks to prevent.
