Plumber in Naramata, BC
The village and the Bench — vineyards, orchards, and lakeside homes.
Fontus Plumbing & Heating serves Naramata and the Bench regularly. Plenty of properties sit among vineyards and orchards; some are lived in year-round, while others are guest suites or seasonal places that can sit quiet for weeks. Those are the homes where a tank heater ages out unnoticed, an outdoor faucet gets missed before a cold snap, or a slow drip under a sink turns into a soaked cabinet. We handle the repair and the follow-through: water heaters (tank and tankless), boilers and hydronic heat, fixtures, leaks, and unit-turn plumbing between guests. We book Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with emergency call-outs evenings and weekends when available. Outlying address? Call (250) 274-0132 and we’ll confirm.
Good to know on the Bench
- A small lakeside community. Naramata is an unincorporated community on the east shore of Okanagan Lake, about 15 km north of Penticton by road, with much of the surrounding land in orchards and vineyards.
- Lake water, moderately hard. The regional district's Naramata water system pumps from a deep intake in Okanagan Lake and treats it with UV light and chlorine. RDOS test results put it in the moderately hard range (roughly 115–135 mg/L in 2023), so scale is something to plan for with water heaters, especially tankless.
- Cold nights are real. Environment Canada normals for the area show average January lows a few degrees below freezing, and record lows past -20°C. If a place sits empty in winter, keep some heat on, shut off and drain outdoor faucets, and have someone check in.
- Guest suites and seasonal homes. Summer brings a spike in visitors, and short-term rentals in the area need a permit from the regional district. If you host, quick plumbing fixes between guests are exactly the kind of work we plan for.

Naramata questions
-
Do you come out to Naramata?
Yes. We serve Naramata and the Bench regularly. For outlying properties, call (250) 274-0132 to confirm.
-
Do I need to be home for the visit?
Not always. If it’s a seasonal home or a rental, tell us how access works when you book (owner, neighbour, or property manager) and we’ll confirm whether that works for the job.
-
Is tankless a good fit with Naramata water?
Case by case. The lake water here tests moderately hard, which means scale. Tankless can still work well with regular flushing, and we’ll talk it through before we quote.
-
How do you price a job?
Labour is $125/hr, and many jobs get a flat quote after we see the work. See How we quote for the details.
